Due to its remote location, all materials had to be shipped in by boat and the soil in the kitchen garden was shipped over from Ireland. After being acquired by the Gregory family in 1992, it was reopened in 1993 as The Loch Torridon Country House Hotel, and since then the family has invested a lot in both time and resources to establish the hotel as a leading UK luxury property. The Hotel comprises 18 unique bedrooms and suites boasting a blend of Scottish heritage and Victorian era features. Its most striking areas are definitely the Torridon Inn, whisky bar and the newly revamped 1887 restaurant, featuring local produce like Scrabster monkfish and Brahan Estate venison.
